Epithelium-Off vs. transepithelial corneal collagen crosslinking in progressive keratoconus: 3 years of follow-up

To compare the efficacy of epithelium-off corneal collagen crosslinking (CXL) with transepithelial CXL in patients progressive keratoconus a follow-up 3 years, taking into account patients’ age and location ectasia. In this prospective study participated 64 eyes were included long-term study, which 31 treated by 33 CXL. All 36 months evaluated for visual variables (corrected distance acuity (CDVA), aberrations, densitometry), structure (astigmatism, keratometry, asphericity, maximum posterior elevation, thickness, volume), index variables.
